Personal Development Breakthrough: Simple 5-Step System For High Achievement!

Cold calling … even the name is enough to strike fear into the heart of many a small business owner! What image comes into your mind? Sitting in a lonely damp office, surrounded by paper, 2 day old coffee cups and a stack of outstanding work. In other words, something not very nice!

Why do we hate cold calling so much? Why does the very thought of it send shivers down some people’s spine? Firstly, what were we taught at school and by our parents? Don’t talk to strangers! No wonder picking up the phone and speaking to someone you have never met causes such mental problems.

What about every small business owner’s fear – the fear of rejection. That’s enough to find any reason not to pick up the phone. Here’s another one – lack of self confidence and the nagging doubt that you won’t live up to the expectations you put in your prospect’s mind.

I think that’s enough! Perhaps all very good reasons why you may find it hard to pick up the phone but, at the end of the day, to be really successful in business, it’s a necessary evil. Yes, you can convince yourself that you are too busy servicing your existing customers and looking after their every need, but unless you get out and bring in new business, one day you may find yourself with a tired and sold-out customer base.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. You can do it. All it needs is careful planning and a structured approach. If you can see the error of your ways and understand the impact this lack of action is having on your business, I’ll show you how you can become a successful cold caller. You have got it made if you follow this structure:
Identify, Preparation, Just Do It! and Review.

Let’s consider each of these steps in turn.

Identify

The first step is to identify who you are going to cold call. How do you go about building up a list? Here are some ideas:

- Ask your customers who they think you should be talking to; who could benefit from your product? Referrals from happy clients can be very powerful when speaking to your prospective customers. It tells them that if their colleague was happy to pass on their name then that’s a good recommendation

- Go through your old database and identify companies that no longer deal with you. Unless you really messed up first time round, they may appreciate a call

- Read all your local newspapers and magazines. Is there a story which would be a great excuse to call them up? “I read about your award in the newspaper and …”

- Use networking events and any other social gatherings to make new contacts

- E-mail everyone in your mailing list and tell them that you are on the look out for new leads!

- Train your brain to spot new opportunities

It doesn’t matter how outlandish your first draft list seems, stick the name down and get thinking about where the others are going to come from.

Preparation

Having got your initial list, the first task in the preparation stage is to tidy it up. Take another look at it and pick the top 5 which are likely to end in success. Why do this? Because to be motivated to carry on with something, there is nothing like success. Failure will not spur you on, but success will. So go for the ones which are likely to yield positive results. With practice, you will be able to tackle the more challenging ones later on!

Next, set yourself an objective. What do you want to achieve out of your phone call? An appointment, an agreement to send a sample, a sale? Being realistic, the best you can hope for is an appointment. Be clear on what your aim is. This will help you focus on the outcome during the rest of your preparation.

The most crucial part of the preparation stage is your research. Find out whatever you can about both the company and person you are going to call. What exactly do they sell? Who are they buying from at the moment? How many employees do they have? Do you know of any problems which you could resolve? What is the perception in the market place? What can you learn from their web site?

All of this information will help you in the next part of your preparation – your opening statement and subsequent words. Actors don’t go out on the stage without thoroughly learning and rehearsal and neither should you. Write out your opening statement, which says who you are, which company you are with and what you do. Keep it short, focused and punchy. Remember that many businesses receive cold calls all the time, so what is the benefit in the person spending some time with you? Think of a clear benefit statement to include in your remarks.

As in any selling situation (which a cold call is after all), you are very likely to be met with objections – can’t see you, too busy with a rush order, its Audit time, too many staff on holiday etc. Try and think of every objection and write down what your response will be. Being this prepared will keep you ahead of the game.

Bearing in mind your end objective, how are you going to go in for the kill? What are you going to say to get that appointment?

Going through all this preparation will give you a much needed confidence boost, ready for the next step.

Just Do It!

If you have identified a number of names, set aside a whole morning or afternoon to make your calls. It’s easy to say to yourself that you will do one call today and another tomorrow. Athletes know that you perform better when you are warmed up, so doing a number of calls in a row means you will get better each time – remember what I said earlier about success breeding success. Put the time in your diary and stick to it!

When should you call? Some people will say it’s better to avoid Mondays and Fridays. On Mondays, people are recovering from the weekend, they are too busy planning their week, or clearing up the mess from the weekend! On Friday’s people are winding down and are recovering from a hectic week.

But think about it – if people are planning their week, wouldn’t Monday’s be a great time to call? If people are winding down on Friday’s, they may be in a good mood with the weekend approaching, so more willing to talk and agree an appointment. The bottom line is that there probably is not an ideal time – just do it!

Now you are ready to go. Before picking up the phone, relax your body and muscles, take some deep breaths and ‘see’ yourself achieving your objective. What does it feel like to have achieved your goal? What are you doing to celebrate all those appointments you have got? See yourself as a success!

Now you are ready to go. Pick up the phone, ask for the person you want to speak to and in a confident, crisp and clear voice, start off with your opening statement. Be warm and friendly. Don’t switch off into your own ‘self-talk’, really listen to what the other person is saying; listen out for those inevitable objections. When they come, answer straight back with your prepared answers. The standard objection is that they are too busy to talk now. If so, agree a time when you can call again as this will avoid telephone tag, where you keep missing each other. In the end you will become a nuisance and you want to avoid this at all costs.

At the end of the call, summarise what was agreed so you are all clear on what will happen next. You don’t want any potential costly misunderstandings.

Review

You will be glad to know that the final step is a review of what took place! After you have put the phone down, sit back and write up your notes, put the agreed meeting time in your diary. Think about what went well; what could have gone better; how you could have approached things differently. Do you think you sounded confident? Did you anticipate all the objections? Did you successfully handle the ones which were thrown at you? Did you meet your planned objective? If so, then celebrate!

Armed with all this new information, pick up the phone and dial the next person on the list.

You may feel cold calling is a bit of a chore. But if you follow these steps then you will very quickly find yourself having too much new business to cope with. What a great problem to have!

Are you missing out on great opportunities because you lack self confidence and self esteem? Do you find you often doubt yourself and have lost touch with your true self worth?

How would you feel if you were confident to approach a person for a date? Ask your boss for a pay rise? Hold a presentation standing tall, feeling powerful, radiating supreme self confidence?

Here’s how you can quickly and easily get out of that stuck state, so you may confidently step upand move ahead in your life.

Did you know that by taking a few small steps that only take a few minutes every day - you will change your life forever?

Always feeling under the weather? Always not in the mood to be around others and have a good time? If you’re suffering from prolonged sadness for quite some time now, you should face these bouts of depression and get yourself diagnosed by a psychiatrist, they’re doctors who can actually help you out with your problem.

Depression or prolonged sadness is actually quite common in the United States, around 9.5 percent of the American population actually suffer from this illness, however, not all of them get to be treated, thus, depression and its ill-effects continue to be a burden to some individuals. This illness may seem quite simple to treat but in reality, it takes more than a little cheering up to actually cure depression. Constant visits to a cognitive behavior therapist is a must as well as taking all the prescribed medicines that the doctor will ask the patient to take – none of these exactly come cheap, but the amount of suffering that a person is going through because of depression is enough reason already for others to start taking notice and face depression head on.

Depression oftentimes can easily get in the way of an individual’s daily activities and his or her’s normal functions, one’s zest for life can quickly and easily dissipate due to depression. And in place of an individual’s sunny disposition is more or less a person who hates his or herself, having no self-confidence, trying to isolate one’s self from the world and basically just not caring about living any more. More so, a person suffering from depression isn’t the only one who’s going to suffer from this destructive illness, his or her loved ones are sure to follow suit. By seeing the individual grow through such rough patches, basically not caring about anything or anyone anymore, it’s highly likely that not only will depression one’s relationship with one’s self but with his or her loved ones too.

Fortunately depression can now be cured, especially when diagnosed early, depressed individuals can actually be treated through therapy and medication, although it may be a bit costly, a person’s good mental health is something that shouldn’t be scrimped on. Cognitive behavioral talk or interpersonal talk are just some of the available psychosocial treatments that cognitive behavior therapists can offer to their patients, both actually prove to be able to produce fruitful and positive results.

Still, people tend to not recognize depression even it’s right before their eyes, being honest with one’s self is key to being able to cure such an illness. Never overlook the various symptoms, depressed individuals oftentimes exhibit uncharacteristic behaviors such as suddenly lacking interest in one’s hobbies (or other stuff that he or she usually enjoys), sleeps too much or actually aren’t able to get some shut-eye, suddenly becoming anti-social, talks a lot about death or being a worthless person. There are actually a lot more other symptoms but in case these already fit in your category or of someone that you know of, go to a reputable psychiatrist at once in order to see if the depression is still at an early stage or not. From here you’ll be able to assess how the treatments will actually go.

Depression shouldn’t be something that people fear of, instead, people should just start taking charge of their lives and actually face this illness and fight it. Life is too beautiful a gift to waste and if one will spend the majority of his or her life just moping around about every single little thing then what kind of life would that be? Depression may not kill one’s body but it’ll certainly kills one’s spirit if you’ll let it. Don’t be a victim.

Personal Development Breakthrough: Simple 5-Step System For High Achievement!

We all experience fear once at least once in our lives. When we were kids, we were very frightened to go to school on the very first day knowing that the people there would be total strangers. We were also terrified by the thought of having to go to the dentist. Some had lesser degree of fear such as dreading the thought of having to speak before a crowd or reciting in front of the class. Some manage to overcome those fears, but there are others who are still weighed down by their fears and anxiety.

Fear plays a very important part in our daily life, and in human society as a whole. Fear comes in many shapes and forms, but it could be described as an unpleasant feeling of perceived risk or danger, real or not. It functions to make us alert and ready for action while expecting specific problems. We feel fearful when we believe we do not have the ability to cope with something. This fear may be grounded in reality, as when we fear being knocked down by a car when trying to cross a busy road. Or the fear may be irrational as when we fear a tiny harmless spider. Many of our fears are a mix of reality and misinterpretation of our ability to cope. When there is a large degree of of misinterpretation it is likely that it is a phobia rather than a fear.

Phobias involve the experience of persistent fear that is excessive and unreasonable. It is the most common mental disorder and research shows that more than 12 percent of the American population will develop a phobia. Phobias are among several anxiety disorders, which also include panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. Phobias are cued when a person approaches a particular situation or object, or even anticipates the approach of it. The individual experiencing a phobia understands the fear they will experience as a result of that situation will be unreasonable and excessive.

Phobias come in many different forms, some of the examples of phobias are: arachnophobia; the fear of spiders, acrophobia; the fear of heights. aviophobia; the fear of flying, felinophobia; the fear of cats, apiphobia; the fear of bees, and the list goes on. Some phobias are well-recognized, others are unheard of.

But one kind of phobia that can be seriously disabling to an individual is called agoraphobia. The term agoraphobia is translated from Greek as “fear of the marketplace.” Its literal definition suggests a fear of “open spaces,” but the term agoraphobia has been widely misunderstood and misleading. Agoraphobics are not necessarily afraid of open spaces. Rather, they are afraid of having panicky feelings, wherever these fearful feelings may occur. For many, they happen at home, in houses of worship, or in crowded supermarkets, places that are certainly not “open.”

Agoraphobia is a condition which develops when a person begins to avoid spaces or situations associated with anxiety. Typical “phobic situations” might include driving, shopping, crowded places, traveling, standing in line, being alone, meetings and social gatherings. Agoraphobia arises from an internal anxiety condition that has become so intense that the suffering individual fears going anywhere or doing anything where these feelings of panic have repeatedly occurred before. Once the panic attacks have started, these episodes become the ongoing stress, even when other more obvious pressures have diminished. It sets up a “feedback condition” which generally leads to increased numbers of panic attacks.

Typically, people with agoraphobia restrict themselves to their “comfort zone” that may include only their home or the immediate neighborhood. Any movement beyond the edges of this zone creates a rise in anxiety. Sometimes, a person with agoraphobia is unable to leave home alone, but can travel if accompanied by a particular family member or friend. Even when they restrict themselves to “safe” situations, most people with agoraphobia continue to have panic attacks at least a few times a month. Researchers are still trying to understand what causes someone to have agoraphobia. As with most mental illnesses, agoraphobia is probably caused by a complex mix of biology and genetics, life’s experiences, temperament and traits. But researchers do know several risk factors involved that make a person more likely to get agoraphobia. These factors include:

- Having panic disorder
- Experiencing stressful life events
- Having a tendency to be nervous or anxious
- Alcohol and substance use disorders
- Female gender

Agoraphobia usually starts during late adolescence or early adulthood, but younger children and older adults also can develop it. Research also shows that more women are diagnosed with agoraphobia than men. As with many other mental disorders, agoraphobia treatment typically includes a combination of medication and psychotherapy. Depression treatments and anti-anxiety medications are commonly used to treat agoraphobia and panic symptoms. Among antidepressants, the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) fluoxetine (Prozac, Prozac Weekly), paroxetine (Paxil, Paxil CR) and sertraline (Zoloft) are approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat panic disorder and also may help agoraphobia. Other types of antidepressants, such as tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) also are sometimes used to treat agoraphobia. But TCAs and MAOIs tend to have more side effects and more serious side effects than do SSRIs. Anti-anxiety medications, also called benzodiazepines, can also help control symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks, and are often used in agoraphobia treatment. These may include alprazolam (Xanax), clonazepam (Klonopin), to name a few. Treatment of agoraphobia is often successful, and you can overcome agoraphobia and learn to keep it under control.

A phobia can make one’s life miserable, cause embarrassment, and undermine self confidence and self esteem. However, you do not have to learn to live with a phobia, there are positive and pro-active manner which will help you conquer and get out of the marketplace of fear.

Personal Development Breakthrough: Simple 5-Step System For High Achievement!

Its shocking to note that mood disorders these days are not uncommon. In the United States alone it is estimated that between 15 and 20 million people suffer from depressive disorders. Most symptoms of depression would be characterized as overwhelming sadness and loss of joy and pleasure in daily activities. Depression has been called the “common cold of mental illness,” not indicating that symptoms of depression are mild, but because they are widespread.

Bipolar disorder is one of many types of depression that affects many individuals. More recently this disorder has been given more public light. Symptoms of this disorder often include mixed states of mania and depression. Often times during the depression phase of bipolar disorder patients are plagued with thoughts of suicide, while during the manic phase the patient has far more energy than normal. Often times they are very talkative, and experience a huge boost in self-confidence.

It is estimated that bipolar disorder affects about 2.3 million adults in the United States in any given year. A worldwide accounting of bipolar disorder in adults is alot higher. Statistical numbers of mood disorders cannot, however, descibe the pain and suffering that such ones go through.

Depression

Everyone experiences a “case of the blues” from time to time, but most often it only lasts a relativly short time. This would not be considered clinical depression, which is far more serious than a “case of the blues.”

What causes clinical depression? While it is not fully understood as to all the causes of clinical depression it is noted that there are many biological and emotional factors that contribute to the development of a severe depressive disorder. It effects more than 19 million American’s a year, and it is estimated that approximately 3% to 5% of teenagers suffer from clinical depression every year.

Those suffering from chronic depression often fail to realize the seriousness of their condition. Just how serious is it? It has often been linked to lack of performance, alcohol and drug abuse, severe feelings of worthlessnes and guilt, and in many cases suicide.

Often times having an empathetic friend that will lend a listening ear can bring great relief. However because the biochemical factor that is involved with the disorder it is not often realistic to rely solely on your friends listening ear.

Mood disorders such as clinical depression often have a great impact on family members. However, there are things that family members can do to help those ailing from the condition. Wholehearted support is vital when a loved one is suffering from this disorder. It is often helpful to study up on the condition and become thoroughly familiar with the disorder. This will allow ones to be able to better cope and deal with the sufferer.

Bipolar Disorder

Living with depression can be a great challenge, but the challenge is even greater when it is coupled with mania, a mood swing in bipolar disorder. Family members may often be confused as to the erratic behavior of those suffering from bipolar disorder. States Becky, “Its hard to see my brother switching from a happy person to such a sad person so suddenly. It’s very hard on all of the family, we all feel helpless like there is nothing we can do.”

Bipolar’s effects are not just directed one way. Often times the pain is reflected inwards as well to the sufferer. The patient suffering from bipolar disorder may often be left confused at the lack of stability in their life.

What is the cause of bipolar disorder? Through several studies scientists are trying to uncover the cause of bipolar disorder. While there is no known single cause of bipolar disorder it is know that genetics plays a big part in the cause. Family members that are directly related to ones who suffer from bipolar depression have a greater chance of developing the bipolar or major depression in your lifetime.

Bipolar disorder knows no gender, and has an equal opportunity of affecting both sexes. Most often the disorder starts developing in young adulthood, however cases studies have shown development of the disorder in younger age groups. Since the symptoms are so wide in their range it is often hard to detect, especially when intervals between mania and depression can last years.

While living with depression or bipolar depression may be hard, and equally as hard to diagnose there is hope for those that suffer from them.

Some of the parts of our human make up include the pastoral self. This idyllic self often absorbs and helps us to manage individual reactions. When the emotions are challenges, the pastoral self steps in to help us cope with the stressful situations.

We can expand this pastoral self by cultivating self-control, self-sacrifice, self-knowledge, and self-interdependence collectively. The variants are relevant for our development and growth. According to recent studies, we all have five selves. The selves combine collectively to permit us room for developing the personality. We ripen the inner self simultaneously. Customary practices such as yoga, or meditation, lectionary also enlighten in exploring your true self.

We can learn through such practices how to redirect our thoughts by accelerating toward betterment. We should take affirmative approaches that help us through the expansion of building self-development. This means we all must do away with the colorless thoughts that cause us emotional disturbances. The worries will expand doubt, fear, anxiety, animosity toward others, and other feelings if we allow them. Ultimately, letting the emotions ride on negative grounds could lead to catastrophe, or depression.

We must do something now to avoid such calamity. Just remember the upside of failure is accomplishment. Make that home run today by hitting the ball at the center so that you can develop a positive attitude. Join a pledge committee today with the inner self in order to identify your personality and develop your social skills.

Self-development is a continuous progression, which each of us are reliable for developing from our knowledge, experiences, events, perceptions, conceptions and so forth. By assessing the inner self, we can reframe the mind. We must go through a series of mental retraining courses in order to make it happen.

In order to recover our skills we must determine the approaches to use to our advantage. In order to attain self-expansion we must constantly evaluate our faults, virtues, strengths and so forth.

One of the best ways to stay on your toes is to discover your learning style. If you have the skill to write then keep a logbook of your actions, thoughts, feelings, confusion, and other aspects to learn your weaknesses and strengths and ways to retrain self. Keep affirmative thoughts in view, as you mark your feelings down daily in your logbook.

Writing ultimately will enhance your management qualities. You will start to develop a new attitude with each self-discovery. An optimistic attitude toward life affords you the backbone, which gives you peace of mind so that you can manage difficult situations in life. Self-development progression will broaden your perspective. In addition, self-growth will make you a freshly responsible person.

We all must continue on the road to self-development and actualization. By five selves, make up our physical self as well. In short, the initial step to attainment is by recognizing and accepting your inner senses and bodily changes. This means you must take care of you by setting up a counterbalanced diet, listen to new age music, and indulge in inventive activities and having care for others. A healthy comprehension of our performance when recognized will expand our confidence broadly.

Confidence is our inner strength that drives us to continue on the positive highway to social and personality development. This drive pushes us to self-reliance, assurance and all leads to our belief of self. We establish trust and faith, which gives us support. The support is needed to complete the process of social and personality development. The drive also reflects on our poise, which other people will acknowledge and appreciate. When you gain composure of self, it makes it easy to carry the load of social and personality development.

Meeting new friends is something that can make you feel good and give you the confidence that you need.

Always think positive about yourself. When you know that you are a good person and you have the ability to make your dreams and goals happen in life you will see that others see your vibe. Do not hesitate when it comes to being the person that you can with a good mindset in place.

Having all the friends that you can think of is important. The more you have the better you will feel about who you are. There is no doubt that you want to have as many friends as you can so that you are a happier and more complete person. Having good people in your life and making friends with everyone around you is going to be the most important thing.

Show others the good side of you. You want to make sure that everyone sees the person that you want him or her to. Give them your true side and do not act fake because this is only going to make yourself look bad in the end. You want to be truthful about who you are and what your goals are in life. Do not be afraid to show your true colors. Using the law of attraction will help you to be more confident and express the way that you really feel.

The law of attraction is all about helping you achieve your goals and be the person that you want to be in life. Think about the different ways you can use your good ideas and show others the real person that you are. Do not be forceful when you are doing this. You do not want to be overbearing and harsh. You want to express to others how you are feeling and what you really want in life. Do not be afraid to go out there and try new things. You are the only one that can make your life better and you need to realize the power of the law of attraction.

Are you missing out on great opportunities because you lack self confidence and self esteem? Do you find you often doubt yourself and have lost touch with your true self worth?

Personal Development Breakthrough: Simple 5-Step System For High Achievement!

Finding inspiration will successfully lead one through a voyage of happiness, hope and complete sense of one’s individuality. Lacking or absence of inspiration will result to exactly the opposite.

When one is inspired, it brings a certain feeling of enthusiasm about one’s life.

Inspiration to each and every individual is different. Where some find inspiration from those that have attained a certain level of success and happiness their lives, others are inspired by nature and its wonder. For most, inspiration is key to a life of living meaningfully.

When one is just drifting and wandering around, with no direction as to where to go and what goal to pursue, one becomes more and more less motivated, loosing his inner self purpose and in time, become depressed.

One’s inspiration is very much determined by ones personal or career goals, and the direction that one wishes to live his life. When wanting to live an abundant life, then the inspiration will be easily found in life stories of those who have achieved success.

Definitely, one needs to acquire intelligence, to study and learn, to collect knowledge, and the skill to manage your time; however all this will be useless without motivation. And inspiration is a chief motivator and so is the craving to learn. These will be your driving force to success. Success in an undertaking leads one to gaining more pursuit and a much greater yearning to learn, resulting in growth of motivation directing towards the goal that you have set.

From inspiration springs enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is one’s attitude of confidence, curiosity and expectation, with fragments of daring and risk.

It is a very strong force that brings vigor to one’s day and draws people. Note that pessimism, negativity, anxiety and apprehension drain the energy within you. So focus only on the positive side in every situation that you encounter; this way, things get done more easily.

So to sustain motivation, it requires rationalization that is anchored on positive outcome from endeavors.

Finding inspiration, developing enthusiasm

Know in your mind and your heart what you are capable of accomplishing. When uncertain, then you loose the game right there and then. You can not ever accomplish anything when you first do not believe that you can.

Keep in mind that every act begins with either a positive or negative thought, whereby positive thoughts gains positive results. Be very certain on what you want to do, to achieve and to become and concentrate on those thoughts each day.

Be enthusiastic in everything that you, small or big things and remember that little things when put together, become one big thing.

Act on your goals! Take the necessary steps towards achieving it and begin now. Each day, set up a plan of action and then work on it. At the end of the day, review what you have done and record it. Then return to your journal each week to see how well you are progressing, or if there are certain acts that needs revising or if you need to take another route.

Look at your goals each day and get inspiration from it. Never allow negative thoughts to invade your mind. Even when you see that you are not progressing, continue and be patient. Never let it discourage you. Remember, as they often say “when there is a will, there is always a way”. So stand firm and continue your struggle.
Remember that each one encounters problems along the way; successful individuals however kept on going when others have quit.

Enhance your knowledge by indulging in inspirational and positive books, talk to successful people and never stop learning. Keep on focusing on success, on your goals. Minimize spending time with people of negative outlook in life as they will often drain you and bring you down.

Success is built on the inspiration of all your little dreams and decisions that you have made for a certain period. Note that it will not come overnight instead, stone by stone; it is built, carefully, but surely. So be patient, your time will come.

Make that decision to succeed now. Look into yourself and see that fire burning, ready to be ignited by inspiration’s strength and ready to soar. Take some actions now, or else, nothing will happen and they will just remain to be a dream.

A speech in front of a hundred people…. but an audience of millions watching on national television. Sounds scary right? Absolutely. It is not an exaggeration to say that there are so many people who are totally terrified of standing in front of a crowd.

Being shy is a normal human reaction to meeting new people or standing before a crowd of total strangers. But there are those who are extremely shy that being in a social activity, group event, or a simple party is a no-no. Even just being around people and the thought of being watched by other people gives them butterflies!

According to the Social Anxiety Association, people with this disorder are often misdiagnosed as having a condition called schizophrenia. Others think that extremely shy people are suffering from manic depression or some other personality disorder. But people with Social Anxiety Disorder have a much more serious condition that just having the feeling of having flying insects inside the gut.

Ordinary people experience shyness and some can actually fight off their instinct to clam up and shut up. Others have it better like extroverts who thrive on social interaction. But for people afflicted with serious social anxiety are often misunderstood, ridiculed, and resented by other so-called normal people. Genetics, social and cultural influences, and psychological factors also contribute to social anxiety.

By knowing that a person has this type of anxiety disorder, or any other anxiety attacks for that matter, the immediate solution is often to ask for a doctor to prescribe anti-anxiety medication. People dealing with social disorders can resort to the use of prescription drugs, coupled with counseling sessions. Anxiety medication is most effective when it is followed by one-on-one discussions with a therapist who could provide valuable information and tips to manage the symptoms of the disorder. To recover from their problems, people with anxiety disorders need to gradually open up through therapy, consultations, or group psychotherapy treatments. All these will help out in dealing with their status, to start being open to other people. Eventually, patients in therapy would learn how to manage their feelings. Exposing them to proper group discussions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other effective anxiety medications can help them cure themselves without the use of drugs. Being socially inactive is really based on your personality and how a person sees himself in a positive manner. Anti-anxiety medications, however, must be taken only with the advice and approval of a doctor. The unregulated use of these medications may lead to serious side effects.
Each of us is unique. Being afflicted with social anxiety disorder is not the end of one’s life…there is hope. Confidence, self-esteem, and good old-fashioned guts will help people with social anxiety go out of their shell of extreme shyness and insecurity. By taking steps to get healing and help, even the most socially-averse individuals can get treatment that is necessary to restore their lives and allow them to pursue fulfillment in their everyday relationships with people.
